We want you to feel comfortable from the first to the last minute of your visit with us. Therefore, we strive together with a lot of commitment to your wishes. Here we would like to briefly introduce our gastro team, so that you know who is waiting for you at Hazienda.
"At home in Carinthia is the most beautiful" I thought and moved back home after long stays abroad in renowned Haubenlokalen of London, Berlin, Boston (USA) and Korea.
In October 2000 I started my own business in a rustic inn in St. Egyden near Velden on Lake Wörthersee. In 2005, I and my family were drawn closer to the lake and so we bought the Landhaus Hazienda in Drobollach on Lake Faak. Here I cook for you juicy steaks, fine pasta variations and traditional home cooking with a kick of sophistication. It is very important for me to work mainly with regional and organically grown products. In my free time I am always looking for new ideas for my kitchen, every now and then I find them when I go for a bike race around the lake with my son.
My favorite thing to do is to talk about sports with my guests. Watching a soccer match in the stadium is an annual must.
Bernhard brought me from London to Carinthia. I was born in Wuppertal / Germany. As a patissière trained in Switzerland, I seduce you with my extraordinary pastry creations such as chocolate-banana brownies, apple tart and homemade waffles. Many recipes I developed myself, I worked on the perfect brownie for 2 years.
To ensure that everything always runs smoothly here at the Hazienda, it takes good coordination. This is where my 2nd education as a business economist comes in handy. Whether guest correspondence, menu design, purchasing, accounting and much more, all this is part of my job here. But I prefer to be in the kitchen.
I spend my free time with our son Christoph. I like to read, ride horses and drive carriages.
